Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
Sprinkle half of the seasonings over one side of the chicken breasts.
Once the olive oil is hot, place the chicken breasts seasoned side down into the skillet. Sprinkle the remaining seasoning over the unseasoned side of the chicken.
Continue to cook the chicken without moving it too much for about 5 minutes or until the chicken is a dark golden color.
Flip the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes to sear the other side.
Place skillet with chicken into the oven to finish cooking about 20 to 25 minutes or until the internal temperature reads 160 degrees F. (see note)
Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest on a cutting board for about 5 minutes. Serve whole or cut into slices before serving warm.
Notes
If you don't have an oven-safe skillet, transfer the chicken to a baking dish or pan after searing it in the skillet. Then bake as directed.
