Bring the tropics into your own home with this Pineapple Cheese Ball!!! Bursting with pops of pineapple, coated with coconut and almonds, this is a great crowd please party starter!
1/2cupcrushed canned pineapplewell drained (roughly chop if pieces are big)
3/4cupfinely chopped green onion
1cupshredded cheeseI use cheddar
Coating:
1/2cupfinely shredded coconut
¼cuproughly chopped almonds
Serving:
Ritz crackers or other crackers of your choosing
Instructions
Place the cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, sour cream, pineapple, green onion, and cheese in a bowl and mix to combine.
Refrigerate for 1 hour to firm up and allow flavors to develop.
When firm enough, roll into a ball using your hands.
While the cheese ball is in the fridge, place coconut in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir constantly for 2 minutes or until lightly browned, then transfer into a bowl.
Add almonds to coconut in the bowl, and stir to combine. Roll ball in coating.
Transfer to a plate and serve with crackers. Serve immediately.

Once you roll the cheese ball, you can wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate it until ready to serve. Coat the cheese ball with coconut and nuts just before serving.
