Ingredients

Basic Dough

  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 envelope rapid rise yeast
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup very warm water (between 120 and 130 degrees)

Breadstick Toppings

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese grated

Instructions

Basic Dough

  • Combine 2 cups of flour, yeast, and salt together in a stand mixer with the dough hook attachment.
  • Mix in water. Add remaining flour and mix until dough pulls from the edge of the bowl.
  • Turn dough onto a lightly flour surface, and knead for 4-5 minutes until a smooth, elastic dough is formed.
  • Cover dough and let rest for 10 minutes.
  • Roll or pull out dough to your desired size and shape.
  • Grease a baking sheet or pizza pan with olive oil. Place dough on pan to cook.

Breadstick Toppings

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Brush olive oil all over the top of the dough
  • Sprinkle rosemary, thyme, garlic powder, and salt evenly over the dough.
  • Bake for 10 minutes. Sprinkle dough with Parmesan cheese and return to the oven.
  • Continue to check the dough every 5 minutes. Cooking time may take anywhere from 15-25 minutes in total. Once the dough is golden brown around the edges, remove the pan from the oven.
  • Transfer cooked dough to a cutting board and cut into 10 breadsticks. Serve with marinara for dipping.
