  • 1 tablespoon sour cream
  • 1 ounce ranch dressing mix (1 packet)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese shredded
  • 3/4 cup cooked bacon pieces crumbled
  • 3 jalapenos seeded and chopped
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
  • Buttery crackers for serving


  • Mix the sour cream and ranch dressing mix in a bowl until combined.
  • Add the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup bacon, and 2 jalapenos to the bowl. Mix together until thoroughly blended.
  • Chill the mixture for 5 minutes, then shape into a ball.
  • Place the pecans, 1/4 cup bacon, and 1 jalapeno into a shallow bowl, and roll all sides of the cheese ball in the mixutre until coated.
  • Place on a plate and serve immediately with buttery crackers.


This cheese ball is about 3 1/2 cups in size.
