Homemade Chicken Apple Sausage

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 medium apple peeled and chopped
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tsp ground sage
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Instructions

  • heat coconut oil in a large skillet over medium heat
  • add onion and cook for 1-2 minutes until they become translucent
  • add in chopped apple and cook for another 2 minutes
  • remove to a medium bowl and allow to cool for 5 minutes
  • add remaining ingredients to the bow. and mix
  • form 8 equal patties
  • cook them over medium heat in the skillet about 3 minutes per side or until golden brown on the outside and cooked through
  • enjoy!
