Pumpkin Oatmeal Cookies with Cream Cheese Icing

These PUMPKIN OATMEAL COOKIES WITH CREAM CHEESE ICING are the best treat to have on a chilly fall afternoon with a cup of chai or coffee!

Pumpkin Oatmeal Cookies

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup butter melted
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 2 tbsp cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup of confectioners sugar
  • 2 tsp milk


  • preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • in a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice and salt
  • stir in the oats and set aside
  • add the melted butter into the bowl of a stand mixer
  • add in the molasses, brown sugar and granulated sugar
  • next add in the egg
  • once fully incorporated add in the pumpkin puree and vanilla and beat until fulling combined
  • slowly add in the dry ingredients and mix until just combined
  • line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • drop 3 tbsp sized balls of cookie dough onto the baking sheet spread out
  • bake for 10 to 13 minutes
  • allow cookies to cool completely (if you can)

Cream Cheese Icing

  • mix together (sort of mash) the cream cheese and confectioners sugar
  • slowly whisk in the milk and continue to whisk until no lumps
  • dip cooled cookie tops into the icing and allow to harden on the counter
  • enjoy!
