Cranberry Orange Bread

CRANBERRY ORANGE BREAD has the greatest sweet and tart flavor! My friends LOVED this bread and called it perfect for breakfast!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp orange zest grated
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup white sugar plus 1 tbsp for cranberries
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries chopped

Instructions

  • preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • in a large mixing bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and orange zest
  • whisk the butter, sugar, egg, and orange juice together
  • pour wet ingredients over the dry
  • stir until just mixed
  • in a small bowl toss 1 tbsp of sugar and chopped cranberries
  • stir cranberries into the batter
  • grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan
  • pour batter into the pan
  • place in oven and bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
