Lemon Bars

These Lemon Bars are not only very easy to make, but taste amazing! They are buttery, tart, smooth, and delicious. Definitely worth making!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup salted butter room temperature
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice {about 2 large lemons}
  • Powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the butter, 1/2 cup sugar, and 2 cups flour. Mix until fully combined.
  • Press the dough into an ungreased 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the remaining 1 & 1/2 cups sugar, 1/4 cup flour, the eggs, and lemon juice and stir well.
  • Pour the lemon mixture over the crust and bake again for 20 minutes.
  • Let cool completely and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
