White Bean Hummus
This simple hummus recipe is made with white beans and fresh basil for a light, summer dip.
- 15 ounce can Cannellini or Northern White Beans rinsed and drained
- 1 c Fresh Basil
- 1-2 oz Pine Nuts
- 1-2 cloves Garlic
- Juice of 1 Lemon
- 1.2 tsp Salt more to taste
- 1/2 c Olive Oil
Place first 4 ingredients in a food processor and begin to puree slowly pouring in olive oil as you go.
Once you have reached the consistency of a smooth, slightly thick dip add the lemon juice and puree the mixture together.
Add salt to taste.
Serve with vegetables, pita bread, or crackers.
