We love shrimp and we love pizza, so why not put the two together? Shrimp and Pineapple Pizza is my new favorite and healthier version of a classic dish and I could easily eat this amazing meal every single week. Yes, shrimp on a pizza, and it was incredible. I usually order pepperoni or pepperoni and sausage, and will occasionally get a white pizza that my mother-in-law introduced me to, or a special with pepperoni, sausage, onions, olives, and green peppers when my parents are visiting. However, believe it or not, I have never tried pineapple on pizza. I like pineapple and eat it cold, but have always been hesitant to try it on pizza. Now I wonder why I waited this long to give it a try. The ingredients on the Shrimp and Pineapple Pizza created a spectacular and delicious combination of flavors! I found a recipe at CDKitchen and modified it with ingredients we enjoy, as well as the amount of ingredients.
When my husband came home from work, half of the Shrimp and Pineapple Pizza was missing. Yes, I ate half of it, in two sittings, but regardless, half was already gone. I made a pepperoni pizza for the kids, so I guess I will admit that I am the only one responsible for the missing half. My kids told him that he had pizza with shrimp and pineapple waiting for his dinner. His first reaction was, “Is there pepperoni? I think I will go with pepperoni.” I asked him to just try the other one. He put a couple slices in the toaster oven and after his first bite, was stunned at how ridiculously delicious it tasted. While he was eating his first slice, he put the rest of the pizza in the toaster oven and finished all of it. He now understood how half was already missing! We both did not realize that this combination of ingredients could create something so magical! He thought that there was the perfect amount of each ingredient! I am pretty sure our pizza nights will now include this phenomenal Shrimp and Pineapple Pizza, especially since it is much healthier than our usual choices.
