Soda & Onion Pork Chops

It is a super busy time of year, so it was wonderful to make a really easy dinner! You only need three ingredients for Soda and Onion Pork Chops!  Not only are they simple to make, but they are yummy and kid friendly.  Both of my kids and my husband ate this meal very quickly and my son asked for more.  Sometimes my daughter can be a little picky and only wants green vegetables for dinner, so I was excited to see her clean her plate! Who knew that soda and beefy onion soup mix would make such a great tasting sauce?  I served the Soda and Onion Pork Chops over brown rice, but noodles would be good too!

Crock Pot Pork Chops

When we lived in Pennsylvania, we would go to an indoor farmer’s market that sold a variety of food, crafts, gifts, and distinctive items.  At one of the meat counters, I picked up a recipe for some delicious pork chops.  I made them several times for my family, parents, and mother-in-law and father-in law. They were always a huge hit!  I decided to change a few things in the recipe, make it a little healthier, and try them in a crock pot.  The original recipe called for sour cream, but I substituted fat free plain Greek yogurt, and I also mixed together a few ingredients to make a cream of chicken soup. I found a recipe for homemade cream of chicken soup that included seasonings, but I modified the recipe and only used three of the ingredients. Crock Pot Pork Chops turned out amazing and my kids loved them too! My son even had a second helping.  They were perfect with mashed potatoes and the yummy gravy!

Breaded Pork Chops

Breaded pork chops are delicious, as well as quick and easy to make!  My parents were visiting when I made them and these pork chops were a huge hit with everyone, including the kids.  I could not believe how fast they disappeared.  It was adorable when we were all at the dinner table talking and my 7 year old just casually reached over and grabbed the last one, like no one would notice.  Everyone wanted to eat it, but was waiting to see if anyone else was going to take it. Well, my son went for it and it was precious!  I am glad everyone loved them and I will definitely make them again soon!
