With the holidays in full speed, buying the perfect gift is constantly on the top of minds, stressing over what to wear for this holiday season should not be one of them and I have 3 easy ways to spruce up your holiday style!
Get it? Spruce…The holidays… Christmas trees… oh boy, the jokes never STOP around here, haha!
Okay, I should stop with the jokes and stick with something I know, FASHION. There are so many fall trends that I love and have been wearing this season, but there are some that can be a little intimidating. Maybe it’s too bold, maybe it will stand out too much, maybe you are worried you cannot play it off but with festive holiday décor and parties in full swing there are sooooo many reasons why you should take advantage of the season and bring life to your winter wardrobe. Because, it’s never too much and it’s always just right when we dress in the sparkle, reds, and faux fur department. Carpe diem!
Faux fur is incredibly fun and has been for a few seasons, once only reserved for the rich and famous, it’s now more mainstream and can be dressed casually with ease. If you can work a fur jacket into to your life, I will advise you to go for it and never look back! But, I’ve come to terms with accepting the fact that most people are not as enthusiastic, as myself, to wear faux fur and that’s when I advise the next best thing, the fur scarf. With this accessory, you can make a statement without fully committing to this fashionably furry look! There are many great places to buy a fur scarf and if you have some time to spare, you can make one yourself, HERE.
Metallic is a really cool piece to add to your wardrobe. If you wear this color as you would a black or khaki skirt, you’re wearing it right! I once made a silver skirt 2 years ago and it gets a ton of great feedback! No matter what metal you choose, silver, gold, rose gold, bronze, etc, they are all well received and with open arms by the masses – my favorite friends were made with a metallic skirt!
Berries of all shades are the perfect way to add color. From a deep red wine color to a bright red and even to a much flirtier magenta, all are widely welcomed. Some of my favorite runway looks were when designers mixed these colors to create one look! If you have no problem wearing red well then I ask you to stretch your fashion muscle and mix your colors by wearing a red pant with a bright pink shirt. It’s so chic, it’s so freaking fantastic and I’m soo excited to try this one!
Hopefully this will inspire your fashion minds and bring some excitement to your holidays functions or even better your day to day, knowing that this specific season allows for more ensemble risk and acceptance and maybe, just maybe, it will even inspire next year’s fashion mood!
